Curveballs and Straight Heat

Just so that everyone knows those are both baseball terms...they're both pitches...so when you read Straight Heat think of a fastball not of something that all you people with minds in the gutters are thinking

Just when you think that you know what's going on and you're finding your groove, your comfortable place...here comes the curveball and it knocks you off your balance...you expected something right over the plate not something that falls into the dirt like the meatloaf mom made last week...and that only happened once...even though it was on purpose...don't eat my mom's meatloaf ever!!! After the curveball you have no idea what's going on and you're not sure what's coming next and then it happens

Straight Heat that when you swing at it you're so far behind that the pitcher's almost ready to throw you another one and you gotta hope that you're ready for what he's got cuz otherwise you're going to lose your balance again...and we all know that in life we don't want to lose our balance...we want to stand steady and look strong cuz there's no vulnerability allowed...that's how i feel sometimes...like weakness is not allowed even though we all have'em...you have to keep your head high and walk through it all and never let them knock you down...it sounds like a bad motivational speech from a movie i know but this is how i've felt for a little bit now

I apologize for the Baseball analogy...if you'd like you can use hockey...be the goalie start with a bad deflection and skip to the slapshot...football the QB blows the ball past you for a big gain but next play runs the ball over you...basketball takes you to the hoop and slams it on you, 3pointer over your head next play...if you have another sport throw that in and make your own analogy

Quote of the Day: "Trying to find your way in the dark is never easy but that's why God gave us toes so that we can stub them on the things that get in our way." Jimmy
Song of the Moment: Lose Yourself by Eminem...yes that's right...but i really like this song...even if that beat is shallower than my sister's pool

Thank you come again

Always getting what you anticipated at the exact time you expected it can become rather boring after a time . . . and while you may feel utterly off balance and confused when things end up different than you assumed them to be, it may prove to be a good thing in the end . . .
I kinda feel like a hypocrit for saying thing . . . but i'm trying to live by this idea of not being incontrol- that ulimately I have no control and it is all God . . . and all i can do is trust that. Trust that sometimes the pitches He sends our way may not always be the same . . .

Hey, do you think you could make the same analogy with synchro?!

yea, playing DB can be not a lot of fun sometimes. It's hard to take the game back from an offense that's firing on all cylinders (ask the Riders and Alouettes about it).

So maybe, it's time to call a timeout. Try to kill the momentum of the drive. Get all your teammates on the same page so we can help you out, and support you on your side of the field. I'll come over and lay a hit if need be, just like Maurice Lloyd.

Chin up buddy. The tide is changing.

Suitor: That's great containment on the part of the defence. What patience to stay in their lanes, and to trust that their DB's are going to keep the coverage downfield airtight

Cuthbert: Indeed, that's a big play and a huge momentum shift for the home team.
